We provide specialist care for people living with dementia, with a focus on promoting independence. Our staff complete specialised dementia training, which helps them understand the needs of someone living with dementia. This training allows our staff to seamlessly fit into the world of a resident living with dementia, by using evidence-based practise to limit confusion and responsive behaviours.
Newtownpark’s spacious lounges are the vibrant hub of our community. Away from our social spaces, our quiet lounges are perfect for reading a book, enjoying an evening aperitif or sharing a quiet moment with friends. Our grounds span over 3 acres, providing ample room for residents to stretch their legs. These areas are specially designed with the needs of a person living with dementia at their core.

Our team of NMBI Registered Nurses and QQI accredited Healthcare Assistants are skilled in providing compassionate individualised care for every resident. For over 30 years Newpark Healthcare has been supporting both private and public providers to develop healthcare facilities and institutions that are at the leading edge of care.
Additionally, predetermined reports can be generated verbally through AI technology avoiding endless paperwork and saving time. Activities can help a person maintain their skills and give a sense of achievement. We offer a wide range of activities for residents which are flexible and adapt to the residents changing abilities and moods.
Clinical Specialist Physio Critical Care
We provide both Nursing Home and retirement complex accommodation. In the Nursing Home we can accommodate 64 residents – predominantly in single en-suite rooms. All our bedrooms are comfortably furnished and have electric profiling beds with very comfortable mattresses. In addition, all bedrooms have a minimum of two nurse call points and a further nurse call point in the bathroom.
Newtownpark Houses spacious lounges are the vibrant hub of our community. It is now possible to address the ongoing battle between quality care and cost. We can reduce cost and release clinical staff from mundane repetitive tasks giving them more time with patients.
Millbury Nursing Home
She is the initial point of contact when considering a place for your loved one. Family is very important to Pauline; she has a deep understanding of the challenges that families face when making the significant decisions around their care. She will guide you through the process and help you while considering your options. Newtownpark House prides itself on being a home from home for residents and have a wonderful team of people to look after them.
This approach respects your independence while also acknowledging the importance of community. A CareChoice Resident Satisfaction Survey is completed every year. This asks residents their opinions on all areas of life in Newtownpark House. This feedback is used to make improvements in our Home across all departments. Our Activities team lead this survey and assist residents with completing it if they need some help. We receive invaluable feedback from these surveys and give each resident a platform to have their voices heard on all aspects of living with us.
Caregivers at home do wonderful work, and to help them continue they need some support from time to time. Our respite care gives them temporary relief which supports people’s ability to live at home for longer. Our convalescence care can assist with recuperation and recovery after surgery, or serious illness. On average people convalesce with us from two to six weeks, but people can be discharged from care sooner depending on their health status and recovery.
We individualise each person’s activities programme based on their likes and dislikes and we also cater for residents who would rather enjoy individual activities. One sure route to enhance staff welfare is to reduce the time spent on mundane and repetitive tasks. Releasing highly educated clinical to spend more worthwhile time with patients. AI technology reduces repetition by capturing information and data just once.
We offer a safe space where residents living with dementia feel comfortable and happy. In Newtownpark House, we are passionate about social activities. Our residents have a committee that meets regularly to discuss topics such activities they would like, places they would like to visit and any other things that interest them. We believe that if residents take part in meaningful activities, maintain and develop their personal identity, whilst getting the right help for any health conditions, this can improve and maintain their wellbeing. Pauline has been with Newtownpark House since 2013 bringing her years of previous experience in administration and customer service with her.
We have a dedicated Head Chef who oversees all meals and snacks in Newtownpark House. Our Head Chef is specially trained in the IDDSI framework for people living with dysphagia to make sure every meal is one to remember. Supported by our fantastic catering team, our mealtimes are an experience for everyone. We create monthly menus with our residents and display those menus for all to see. We also cater for special occasions like themed evenings or celebrations in our Home.
We ensure that they have the opportunity to make as many choices as possible in their daily lives. The simplest choices can make a huge a difference to a person, like, choosing their own clothes, where they sit at mealtimes and having their valued possessions with them. We support all residents in making decisions, which helps us build long lasting and trusting relationships.

Newtownpark House is spread across 2 beautiful Houses, our original Georgian House has 27 rooms across 3 floors and boasts a sunroom at the end of each floor. It also features stunning high ceilings with original features and decor. Our newer House was built in 1990 and has 32 rooms across 2 floors with numerous seating areas. We have the pleasure of enjoying the views of our beautifully landscaped gardens.
